CONDITIONS OF HIRE
(Single
event - party)
When
hiring any room of The Beck Community Centre Association the
following conditions must be adhered to:-
- The
hirer will, during the period of hire be responsible for the
supervision of the premises, outside areas and car park. All
damages/breakages must be reported to the Duty Manager (name and
telephone number is displayed on the office door) and will be
charged for at an appropriate rate.

Limited car parking is available in the Centre car park. Cars must
be parked in
a sensible manner and not cause any obstruction of the highway or emergency
exits. All vehicles are parked at the owners risk. If you have to park
on spaces belonging to the Heron Pub, please let them know.
- The
Centre must be left clean and tidy. All hirers must return
furniture to its original position, as per floor plan (displayed on
the wall). If the Centre is left in a mess a fee of £10 per hour
will be charged to cover costs of extra cleaning.
- All
rubbish must be taken away from the Centre at the end of the
session. Refuse bags are available in the kitchen.
- Hirers
MUST NOT leave
the centre open and unattended at any time during the period of
hire.
- Alcohol
may only be brought on to the premises with prior agreement of the
Beck Management Committee. The Centre does not hold any alcohol or
gambling licence, all hirers ARE
responsible for obtaining their
own licence for such events. A copy of any such licence MUST
be lodged with the Centre before the event.
- If
the hirer wishes to cancel the booking suitable notice must be
given. For bookings cancelled within a fortnight 50% of the full
amount will be retained. For bookings cancelled with less than a
weeks notice, or on the day of hire the full hire fee will be due.
- The
First Aid box is located in a drawer next to the cooker in the
kitchen.
- Arrangements
for opening and closing the Centre will be discussed at the time of
booking.
- No
animals other than GUIDE DOGS/ASSISTANCE DOGS are
allowed on the premises.
- Bouncy
castles and similar inflatables are
allowed inside the Centre for
parties where the children are of primary school age. This must be
discussed at the time of booking and a paper copy of the Bouncy Castle
public liability Insurance must be obtained and returned with the
booking form, as the Beck Centre cannot take
responsibility for any injuries occurred whilst using a Bouncy
Castle
- It is
the responsibility of the hirer to familiarise themselves with the
Fire Safety and Health and safety Policies, which can be found on
the Centre's notice board. It is also the responsibility of the
hirer to familiarise themselves with the location of the fire Exits
and the fire alarms.
- Children
are not allowed to play on stacked chairs, nor are adults allowed to
sit on stacked chairs.
- The
Beck Community Centre Association reserves the right, at its
absolute discretion, to refuse any booking or to cancel any booking
due to any emergency or unforeseen occurrence.
